Crafted with care by Edradour, this expression was distilled in July 2012 and fully matured for 12 years in first-fill Bordeaux hogsheads, before being bottled in March 2025. This small batch release beautifully showcases Edradour’s artisanal spirit and the elegant influence of Bordeaux wine casks, resulting in a lush, well structured single malt with both fruit-driven complexity and malt depth.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich warm amber with copper-gold sheen and a subtle ruby-tinged depth.
Nose
Ripe red berries, plum and blackberry rise with silky vanilla and toasted oak; Bordeaux wine notes thread through, delivering a wine-kissed currant character, while malt sweetness lends depth and a hint of cocoa.
Palate
Silky, medium-full with a fruit-forward core and malt depth. Ripe raspberry and plum mingle with vanilla and honeyed cereal, while Bordeaux cask influence adds winey tannins and dried cherry, cassis notes. The textures melt into a velvety, cacao-spiced finish, a balanced harmony of fruit, oak and malt.
Finish
Lengthy and refined, the finish coats the palate in dark berry fruit—plum and blackberry—kissed by Bordeaux sweetness. Nutty malt, cocoa and a thread of spice drift in, while gentle oak tannins thread through, closing with a warm, velvety, wine-laden sigh.
