Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant amber-gold with coppery glints and a warm, honeyed glow, hinting at sherry-cask maturation.

Nose

Soft, inviting nose of sun-warmed honey and vanilla, ripe orchard fruits, and delicate almond notes. Subtle malt sweetness mingles with a whisper of dried fig and raisin from sherry cask influence, with a gentle spice of cinnamon and toasted oak in the background.

Palate

Dufftown 8-year-old on the palate delivers silky fig and dried plum, with almond and dark chocolate. Orange zest threads through toffee and caramel, while cinnamon and clove provide gentle spice. Soft oak supports a warm, cocoa-kissed finish.

Finish

Elegant, lingering finish with dried fruits and almonds, subtle sherry sweetness, and toasted oak; a gentle, warming spice threads through, leaving a soft, velvety glow.

Dufftown
(DUFF-town) Dufftown is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery in the town of Dufftown, Moray. It was founded in 1895 as Dufftown-Glenlivet in a converted meal mill, with production beginning in 1896. Mackenzie & Co acquired the distillery shortly afterwards, and Arthur Bell & Sons later bought Dufftown in 1933, making its spirit an important part of Bell’s blended Scotch whisky.
