Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with rich mahogany and coppery highlights, a glossy, wine-bronze glow.
Nose
Pedro Ximénez richness floods the nose: prunes, figs and raisins layered with treacle, toffee and dark chocolate, lifted by orange zest and vanilla from the oak. A warm, polished Speyside aroma that envelopes Dufftown’s classic fruitiness with luxurious sherried depth.
Palate
Opulent and mouth-coating, the palate fuses velvet PX sweetness with Dufftown’s fruity backbone. Prune, fig and raisin ring alongside toffee, brown sugar and orange zest, while cocoa and espresso add depth. Spicy oak secures the frame at 55.7% ABV, guiding a long, warming finish of praline, toasted nuts and a lingering sherry glow.
Finish
Velvety, long finish, powered by PX sweetness with raisin, fig and prune front and center. Layers of dark chocolate and toffee emerge, softly spiced, then fade to a cocoa-kissed warmth that lingers and lulls the senses.
