Diageo’s Distiller's Editions have developed a strong reputation for excellence since their initial release. This 15 year old expression from Dalwhinnie is no exception, a light crisp and easy single malt with strong notes of nut, fruit and sweetness.

The current 2004 vintage of the Distiller's Edition Dalwhinnie has been given an extra maturation period in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, imparting extra spice, fruit, and sweetness to this delicate highland single malt.

Lovers of Dalwhinnie will appreciate the way the fragrance of Oloroso overlays, but doesn't mask, the heather honeyed character of the whisky.

Dalwhinnie
(dal-WHIN-ee) Dalwhinnie was founded in 1897 by John Grant, George Sellar and Alexander Mackenzie, and production began in 1898. It was originally named Strathspey, but was renamed Dalwhinnie when spirit first ran, a name usually translated as “Plain of Meetings” in reference to its position at a junction of old drove roads between mountain ranges. Its history also includes a major fire in 1934, which forced a four-year closure before the distillery reopened in 1938.
