The carley variety concerto was grown in the South fields and harvested on the 2nd & 3rd of September 2011. It was then dried and stored on the farm to be matured in Alloa during the spring of 2012.
The whisky that makes up this bottling came from seven first fill ex-bourbon barrels and give first fill ex-Oloroso and PX hogsheads which were all filled on the 25th of December 2012. Then matured in the upper level of their dunnage warehouse until being bottled in February 2026.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with honey-gold sheen and a coppery edge.
Nose
Fresh barley and green apple lift the aroma, with lemon zest and a touch of honeyed sweetness. Vanilla and cream mingle with light oak, while sherry cask influence brings dried fig, raisin and a hint of orange zest. Almond and cocoa add depth, and a gentle cinnamon-nutmeg spice lingers, finishing on warm grain and orchard brightness.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied on the palate, with creamy vanilla and citrus zest from the bourbon influence. Orchard fruit and honey give way to sherry-cask richness—orange-tinged raisin, fig, treacle and cocoa from oloroso and PX hogsheads. Spices—cinnamon and nutmeg—dress polished oak, while a dunnage-soft waxiness lingers into a long, citrus-kissed finish.
Finish
Silky, long finish that coats the palate with creamy vanilla and subtle oak, then blooms into rich dried fruits, fig and cocoa from the sherry-influenced casks. Warming orange zest and baking spices echo through the late length, leaving a refined, elegant fade.
