Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm’s quiet periods; midsummer and winter, sometimes producing as few as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.

Colour
Golden-amber with a warm copper glow.
Nose
Green fruits, toasted almonds and herbal nuances rise with sandalwood, building a creamy, inviting baseline. It opens to freshly baked croissants and marzipan, warm and comforting. A splash of water reveals fennel, cumin and butterscotch sweets, adding a delicate spicy lift.
Palate
Sweet fruits and traditional Scottish tablet open the palate, evolving gracefully into drier fruit tea and delicate herbal undertones, with a soft, refined sweetness lingering.
Finish
Medium-length and refined, the finish unfolds with an elegant floral undertone that lingers gracefully, accompanied by soft herbal notes in a delicate, perfumed echo.
