Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany undertones.
Nose
Opulent, time-worn aroma of dried fruits—raisin, fig, sultana—melded with toffee and vanilla from decades in oak. Rich sherry notes coat orange zest, roasted almond, and spice (cinnamon, clove), while hints of coffee, leather, and a whisper of cocoa deepen the profile. A warm, glossy grain sweetness lingers, inviting anticipation of the dram to come.
Palate
Full-bodied and silkily viscous, the palate offers creamy toffee and vanilla, threaded with rich sherry fruit—prune, fig and raisin—alongside orange zest and dark cocoa. Spices bloom softly: clove, cinnamon, a peppery warmth. The finish lingers with nutty oak, espresso-like bitterness and a mineral lift, all wrapped in a refined, cask-strength glow.
Finish
Silky, sherried finish lingers long, weaving dried cherry and fig with cocoa and roasted almond, then a bright note of orange zest and warm spice. Oak remains with refined sweetness, leaving a velvet, contemplative echo and a final whisper of tobacco.
