Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with a burnished copper glow and mahogany undertones, a warm, sherried hue suggesting sweetness and quiet elegance.
Nose
Opulent, dessert-like nose with honeyed vanilla and toasted almond forming the first impression, then ripe dried fruit—fig, date, apricot—enriched by sherry-cask depth. Caramel and toffee sweetness glides through, accented by cinnamon and clove spice and polished oak. A subtle citrus lift keeps it poised, yielding a velvety, aged grain perfume that lingers with warming elegance.
Palate
Silky and richly creamy on the palate, this 28-year-old grain unfurls honeyed vanilla, almond paste and toffee with sherried warmth. Dried figs and raisins weave through cocoa and orange zest, while polished oak and a touch of spice frame the sweetness. A long, velvety finish lingers with grace and subtle heat.
Finish
Sherried to the core, the finish unfurls in a velvet cloak of dark fruit, raisin and fig, with cocoa and a whisper of orange zest. Spices thread through toasted oak—clove, cinnamon—delivering a long, warming tail that lingers, quietly nutty and exceptionally polished.
