Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, sunlit amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold glow.
Nose
Coastal peat and iodine ride a briny sea breeze, lifted by rich sherry fruit—fig and raisin—with a kiss of cocoa. Vanilla and toasted oak thread through, while the smoke settles into leather and spice as the glass warms.
Palate
Bold peat and coastal smoke envelop the palate, with a saline tide of sea spray and iodine. Beneath, dark sherry fruit—prune, raisin, fig—meets cocoa and vanilla from mature oak. Peppery spice adds lift while the sweetness stays balanced by a dry, smoky finish, echoing toasted oak and lingering coastal air.
Finish
Long, smoky maritime finish with a peat-kissed edge. Dark fruit and cocoa deepen into orange zest and a hint of sherry sweetness, while sea salt and ash linger. A peppery warmth from the cask strength weaves through, slowly fading into a refined, lasting whisper of smoke.
