Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep mahogany with copper-amber hues and a warm, red-gold glow.

Nose

Velvety, sherried bouquet of dark cherry and plum, intertwined with fig, raisin and cocoa. Subtle vanilla, toffee and toasted oak add sweetness and warmth, while a gentle spice threads through, inviting and refined.

Palate

Silky and full-bodied, with creamy malt and honeyed sweetness. Raisin, fig and orange peel mingle with chocolatey cocoa, underpinned by a gentle sherry fruit and a hint of spice. Velvety mouthfeel, balanced oak, and a warm, lingering finish.

Finish

Velvety and persistent, this finish layers orchard fruit and cocoa with warm spice. Oloroso sherry notes mingle with toasted oak, leaving a refined sweetness that lingers gently, a soft, cinnamon-kissed warmth.

Bushmills
Bushmills traces its whiskey heritage to 1608, when King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips a licence to distil in County Antrim. The Old Bushmills Distillery was formally registered in 1784 by Hugh Anderson, making it one of the most historic names in Irish whiskey. Production is centred in the village of Bushmills, close to the River Bush, with the distillery long associated with triple-distilled Irish whiskey made from malted barley.
