Silky and medium-bodied, the palate unfolds with honeyed sweetness, vanilla cream, and toasted barley. Orchard fruit notes mingle with warm spice, caramel and a touch of oak, shaping a refined, creamy mid-palate. Bushmills traces its whiskey heritage to 1608, when King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips a licence to distil in County Antrim. The Old Bushmills Distillery was formally registered in 1784 by Hugh Anderson, making it one of the most historic names in Irish whiskey. Production is centred in the village of Bushmills, close to the River Bush, with the distillery long associated with triple-distilled Irish whiskey made from malted barley.
