Bunnahabhain Single Malts Of Scotland Director's Special Scotch Single Malt Whisky 43 Year Old · 1975 Vintage
Out of stock
From Independant Bottlers The Single Malts of Scotland comes this premium extension to their releases, the Director's Special. Just 341 bottles from a single Bourbon Hogshead have been created so this is pretty rare stuff. Waxy and full on the nose with green apple and citrus, the palate shows an unctousness and richness with lovely oak and apple flavours coming through, an almost wine like quality comes though. The finish is delicate with peel and spice that gently signs off.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with honeyed copper highlights, a warm, sunlit glow.
Nose
Waxy and full on the nose, bright green apple mingling with citrus zest, with a subtle oak underpin that adds quiet depth and a refined orchard‑fresh glow.
Palate
Unctuous and richly textured, the palate carries generous oak and ripe apple with a lift of citrus, all wrapped in a wine-like poise. A creamy mouthfeel gives way to a delicate finish of peel and spice.
Finish
Delicate, citrus-peel notes linger, a quiet spice softly tapering to a refined, warming echo of oak.
