Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a honeyed glow, edged in mahogany, evoking sun-tinged caramel and dried fruit.
Nose
Sherry-drenched sweetness meets a coastal breeze: orange zest, dried apricot, and dates unfold with honeyed toffee and almonds. Rich fruit tightens into cocoa, vanilla, and a whisper of spice, while salted caramel and oak lend polish. A subtle sea-salt air and faint smoke linger, inviting and refined.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied on the palate, this sherry-aged Bunnahabhain delivers velvety tidal sweetness with dried fig and cherry, toffee and almond. Spice-kissed orange rind, hints of cedar, and a light maritime note weave into cocoa and dark chocolate. The finish is warm and lingering, with oak and a touch of saline complexity.
Finish
Long, maritime and refined, the finish unfolds with dried fruit and dark chocolate, the sherry influence lingering through toasted oak. Fig, cherry and almond fade into a whisper of spice and sea-salt, then drift to a warm barley sweetness that lingers gracefully.
