Bunnahabhain Crabbie Single Sherry Cask #11562 Whisky 50 Year Old
Out of stock
John Crabbie was a true pioneer who sourced the finest whisky from over 70 distilleries across Scotland for his famous Crabbie brand. In 1884, he travelled to the island of Islay to visit the newly opened Bunnahabhain distillery where he purchased 30 hogshead casks from the distillery warehouses that still stand to this day.
This bottle was hand selected cask #11562 from Bunnahabhain distillery, a refill sherry hogshead chosen for its complex sweet savoury balance, and presented it exactly as the distiller intended: without colouring, chill-filtration, and at cask strength. This exceptionally rare single cask release has been hand filled into just 220 decanters in 2020 after maturing for 50 years in the very same coastal warehouse visited by John Crabbie nearly 150 years ago.
Each of the individually numbered Glencairn crystal decanters have been hand blown meaning they are just as unique as the liquid they contain. The decanter is presented in an elegant display box, handcrafted from solid ash by Moran’s of Warrington, and accompanied by an individually numbered certificate of authenticity.
