A Bruichladdich Links release inspired by the 18th green at Royal Troon, this 14 year old Islay single malt was bottled in 2004 after maturation in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks.

Part of a series celebrating historic golf courses, it showcases Bruichladdich’s unpeated house style, where fresh malt character and coastal influence are complemented by the dual cask maturation, adding gentle vanilla sweetness, dried fruit richness and soft spice.

Royal Troon is one of Scotland’s most renowned Open Championship venues, famous for its classic links layout and the dramatic finishing stretch along the Ayrshire coast.

Fresh, unpeated Bruichladdich character with a coastal breeze and barley sweetness. Vanilla from bourbon casks, a touch of sherry, and dried fruits—raisins, dates, apricots—plus soft spice, all framed by oak and sea air.

Palate

Silky coastal character on the palate, where creamy vanilla from bourbon casks meets rich dried fruit—figs and apricots—from sherry, finished with soft spice. Mid-weight, elegant and balanced, a gentle sweetness with a touch of sea-salt. The finish lingers quietly, with subtle oak and coastal air.

Finish

Long, maritime finish with gentle vanilla, dried fruit sweetness and soft spice, tempered by sherry-oak warmth. A refined coastal glow lingers, inviting the next sip.

Bruichladdich
(brook-LADDIE) Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment.  It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
