A 1989 vintage Bowmore that was solely matured in Port casks. Released in 2012 this was 1 of 12,000 bottles .
This is an indulgently rich Bowmore. Lots of opulent port character is evident on the nose, plum, chocolate and cherry are there alongside characteristic smoke, salt and spice. The palate is layered and complex with orange, truffle and berry compote flavours. The finish is long and smooth with a gentle drying smoke.

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany-tinged edge.
Nose
Opulent port-driven aroma with ripe plum, dark cherry and rich chocolate, lifted by Bowmore’s signature maritime smoke. A touch of sea salt and spice threads through the perfume, hinting at a complex, layered nose ready to unfold.
Palate
Layered and complex on the palate, orange zest, cherry and plum with berry compote, folded with truffle and a touch of chocolate. Port-cask richness drives a soft sweetness, while sea-salt smoke and spice weave through, finishing long, warm and lightly drying.
Finish
A long, smooth finish that lingers with a gentle drying smoke, leaving a refined, whispering warmth on the palate.
