Nose

A rich, sweet Sherry aroma dominates, layered with warming cloves and cracked black pepper. Fragrant fruit notes of blood orange, prune and fig jam mingle with a satin thread of milk chocolate and burnt biscuit, evoking millionaire’s shortbread. A luxurious, dessert-like sweetness hints at depth beneath.

Palate

Silky and sweet, with restrained heat. Sherried richness broadens the mid-palate, unveiling jammy dark fruits and chocolate buttons, then edging into pepper and cloves toward the back. A tannic grip tethers the sweetness, keeping the finish from tipping into cloying.

Finish

…and then a dry, quite bitter finish, which is disappointingly short.
