Coastal peat smoke leads the nose, mingling with char from the grill, sea salt and iodine. Underneath, vanilla and caramel sweetness glows beside roasted fruit, while ash and brine drift through, hinting at a long, peaty finish.
Palate
On the palate, this cask-strength blend unfurls brazen peat smoke that courts charred-meat sweetness, tempered by sea-air brightness. Vanilla, toffee and dark chocolate weave with a coastal saltiness, while a peppery spine drives a long, smoky finish that lingers with ash and maritime peat.
Finish
Coastal peat leads the way, with charred-barbecue smoke curling through the palate. At cask strength, the finish is satisfyingly long and peaty, slowly fading to a touch of sweetness and maritime brine, leaving a warm, smoky glow that lingers on the tongue.
