Nose

Remarkably sweet, the aroma unfolds with toffee apples, marshmallows, caramelised sugar and candyfloss.

Crème brûlée, evolving to ginger, nutmeg and red apple with lingering smoked barley.

Sharp – tangy orange sweets, stewed red fruits with black pepper covered strawberries.

The Gauldrons
The Gauldrons is Douglas Laing’s Campbeltown blended malt, created as part of its Remarkable Regional Malts series. Released in 2017, it completed the range by representing Campbeltown, one of Scotland’s smallest whisky regions and a place with a long distilling history. The name comes from the dark, stormy coves on the west coast of Kintyre near Machrihanish, where “The Gauldrons” is often translated as “Bay of Storms”.
