Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, glossy mahogany with coppery-amber highlights and a touch of ruby glow—a rich, sherry-hued majesty in the glass.
Nose
Opulent sherry notes surge from the glass: raisins, dried figs, and orange zest mingle with dark chocolate, toffee, and a kiss of spice. Almonds and walnut lend depth as leather and tobacco unfold, framed by polished oak and a subtle wisp of peat smoke, revealing a mature, luxurious warmth.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this vintage sherry-cask Benromach coats the palate with dark fig, prune and raisin, bright orange zest, toffee and cocoa. Rich almond and warm oak spice unfold, leading to a long, refined finish with lingering sherry sweetness.
Finish
Sherry-drenched warmth lingers long, with figs, raisins and orange zest unfolding into dark chocolate and spice. A delicate peat smoke weaves through the sweetness, while toasted oak and almond echo into a velvet, lingering ember.
