Tasting Notes

Nose

Opulent aroma of dried fruit—figs, raisins and orange zest—woven with rich sherry and dark chocolate. Spiced oak, suede leather and coffee notes mingle with nutmeg and cedar, finishing in a warm, lingering veil of caramel and vanilla.

Benrinnes
(ben-RIN-is) Benrinnes was first established in 1826 by Peter MacKenzie at Whitehouse Farm near Aberlour, on the lower slopes of Ben Rinnes. The original distillery was destroyed by flooding in 1829, with a new site later developed nearby. After early ownership changes, David Edward took over in 1864, and the distillery was sold to John Dewar & Sons in 1922 before becoming part of DCL three years later. It is now owned by Diageo.
