This superb 21 year old single malt from BenRiach spent most of its life maturing in ex-Bourbon casks, before being transferred to barrels that previously contained tawny Port. The orchard and tropical fruits that are characteristic of BenRiach are supplemented by darker prune and cranberry notes from the time spent in Port casks. Rich and fruity with a spicy finish.

Deep amber with burnished copper highlights and tawny mahogany undertones.
Nose
Bright orchard fruits mingle with tropical hints, lifting from the glass. The Tawny Port finish introduces dark prune and cranberry notes, adding depth and a glossy fruit sweetness. Subtle spice and a poised, elegant warmth linger on the nose.
Palate
On the palate, orchard and tropical fruits mingle with dark prune and cranberry from the tawny Port finish. Rich and velvety, it carries a fruit-forward sweetness that gradually yields to a warming, spice-tinged finish.
Finish
An extended, warming finish where spice lingers, carried by Port-influenced dark fruits. Prune and cranberry notes weave through BenRiach’s orchard fruit, leaving a refined sweetness and a lasting, peppery warmth.
