Ben Nevis Glencoe Blended Malt Scotch Whisky 8 Year Old
Out of stock
This excellent, powerfully full bodied blended malt whisky was first introduced in the 1960's. The recipe is unknown but is rumoured to be a blend of Ben Nevis and malt whisky from one other distillery. A huge whisky with an old fashioned, musty, savoury Sherry cask influenced character. Lots of malty grain, peppery spice, cloves, herbs, and toffee coated nuts. Bottled at a robust 58% ABV (you've been warned!).

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold flashes and mahogany undertones.
Nose
A rich, musty, savoury Sherry cask influence dominates the nose, with bold malty grain underpinning peppery spice. Cloves and herbs weave through, while toffee-coated nuts provide caramel warmth that lingers against a sturdy, resinous backdrop.
Palate
Powerfully full-bodied with a bold sherried edge. Malty grain anchors the palate, while peppery spice, cloves, and herbs thread through a savoury, musty Sherry-cask character. Toffee-coated nuts offer a touch of sweetness beneath a robust, warming finish, amplified by the 58% ABV.
Finish
Long, warming finish with a savoury, sherry-cask presence. Peppery spice and cloves linger, joined by herbal notes and malty grain, while toffee-nut sweetness persists, tapering to a dry, oak-driven fade.
