Deep amber with copper-golden edges and a whisper of mahogany.

Nose

Rich sherry influence on the nose: dried fruits—raisin, prune, fig—complemented by orange zest and a touch of dark chocolate. Caramel/toffee sweetness, vanilla, and warm spices (cinnamon, clove) entwine with toasted oak, delivering a festive, velvety aroma that hints at Christmas in a glass.

Palate

Luxuriously rounded, the palate opens with dark raisin and fig, kissed by silky toffee and cocoa. Sherry cask influence delivers festive spice—nutmeg, clove, orange zest—over soft oak. Medium-full and warmly sweet, it glides to a lingering finish of caramel, almond and subtle spice.

Finish

Silky, long finish with Christmas-spiced warmth and sherry-softened oak. Dried fig and raisin unfold to mingle with orange zest, cocoa nib, and a touch of praline. The sweetness ebbs gracefully, leaving a refined tannic kiss of toasted almond and gentle spice that lingers with luxurious, enduring warmth.

Bell’s traces its roots to Arthur Bell, a Perth wine and spirits merchant who began vatting malt whiskies together in 1851 to create a more consistent blended Scotch. The “Extra Special” trademark was registered in 1895 and later appeared with the Bell’s name in 1904, becoming the basis of the long-running Bell’s blend. Blair Athol, founded in 1798, became closely tied to the brand after Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
