The fifth batch in the famous Tun 1509 series from the Balvenie, this Speyside single malt is a marriage of single casks hand-selected by Malt Master David C. Stewart and brought together in the eponymous Tun, a traditional oak marrying vessel.
Each release is limited to just a few thousand bottles worldwide.
This latest batch is presented at a strength of 52.6% abv.
Rich and intensely fruity of the nose. A spicy outburst on the palate, then sweetened with a deep sherry character. Lingering and luscious with dried fruit and elegant oaky notes on the finish.
