Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany, a warm, jewel-toned glow.
Nose
Opulent and warm, the nose unfolds with Balvenie’s honeyed sweetness softened by sherry influence. Dried fig and raisin rise against orange zest and toffee, while almond, vanilla, and subtle cocoa mingle with satin oak and spice. A refined, fruit-forward aroma with quiet, luxurious depth.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this single-cask Balvenie carries a sherry-fed sweetness. Dried fig, raisin and plum mingle with dark chocolate, toffee and a touch of caramel. Spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—rise through the mid-palate, while vanilla and toasted almond oak lend refined structure, culminating in a long, warm, fruit-kissed finish with graceful tannins.
Finish
Silky, long finish that drapes vanilla and honey over warm oak, then broadens into dried fruit, fig and a whisper of cocoa. Sherry influence emerges as spice—cinnamon and walnut—lingering softly while the palate is enveloped in a refined, warming finale.
