This Single Malt has been matured exclusively in a First Fill Ex-Bourbon barrel for at least twelve years. The craft of Whisky-making and the alchemy of cask, spirit and time are embodied perfectly. Each cask tells its own story and its yeld is, by nature, one of a kind.
Whilst no two casks will ever produce and identical Single Malt, because of the careful sampling and selection by Balvenie's Malt Master, the Balvenie Single Barrel has a consistent character which is rich and complex, with a deep vanilla oakiness. Honey notes are overlaid with sweet fruits and subtle spices. The finish is lingeringly sweet.

Warm vanilla from first-fill ex-bourbon oak dominates, wrapped in honeyed sweetness. Ripe fruit notes mingle with subtle spices, beneath a rich, lingering oak perfume that hints at Balvenie’s signature depth.
Palate
Silky, medium to full-bodied with a rich vanilla and deep oak backbone from the first-fill bourbon. Honey sweetness glows, layered with bright fruits and a touch of spice, all carried on a creamy texture that coats the palate and leads to a lingering, softly sweet finish.
Finish
Lingeringly sweet, the finish unfurls with honeyed warmth and vanilla‑oak depth, leaving echoes of ripe fruit and subtle spices that linger long after the last sip.
