Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense dark amber with mahogany depth and copper-bronze highlights.
Nose
Opulent dried-fruit perfume—figs, dates and raisins—unfolds with rancio, a nutty oxidative richness, and cacao nibs. The Oloroso sherry influence cloaks the nose in velvety cocoa and toasted oak, with a whisper of espresso.
Palate
Velvety and richly sherried on the palate, with layers of dried fruit—prune, fig and raisin—woven with rancio and cocoa. Oloroso depth coats the mid-palate, leading to dark chocolate, toasted nut notes and a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of dried fruit and rancio, edged with cocoa and a hint of oak. Oloroso sherry leaves prune and fig depths that drift into bittersweet chocolate, then fade to a warm, velvety glow.
