This single malt from Aultmore Distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland was distilled in 2008. The Thompson Bros have combined two Rye Barrel matured whisky casks with 1/3 of an Oloroso Octave cask.
The spicy and nutty Rye barrels combined with the Oloroso deliver some beautiful sweet and savoury flavours . Carefully diluted to 48.5%ABV and bottled without chill filtration.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with sunlit copper undertones and a hint of mahogany.
Nose
Salted banana bread mingles with green olives and pistachios, brightened by orange peel and sour pineapple, with a cinnamon-dusted undertone and a whisper of rapeseed.
Palate
Bright and fizzy on the palate, wood spice mingles with Manzanilla, a touch of chilli peppers, evoking a crisp Scottish summer.
Finish
Spicy, mouth-coating finish with medium length, leaving a warm echo of rye spice and sherried sweetness.
