The influence of the two years in Madeira barrels is clear from the very beginning. Light fruit and floral scents are complimented by wine notes in the foreground of the bouquet, with hints of malt, spice and tobacco. The picture is complete with just a touch of smoke hovering in the background.

(oth­-RUSK) Auchroisk was built in 1972 near Mulben in Speyside by IDV, then the parent company of Justerini & Brooks, to provide malt whisky for the J&B blend. Production began in 1974, using water from Dorie’s Well, and the distillery became part of Diageo in 1997 following the merger of Grand Metropolitan and Guinness.
