The Auchentoshan 1966 is a very special, truly unique lowland whisky that was bottled in 2011.
Matured in cask for 44 years, its age is only matched by its superb and complex taste and beauty.
Only 263 bottles were yielded from the cask making it very rare indeed.
Triple distilled and aged in American Ex- Bourbon Hogshead casks
Encased in a handcrafted aluminium and oak outer case that are each individually numbered, the Auchentoshan 1966 comes partnered with a booklet charting the history of this rare expression.

Colour
Warm, radiant golden amber with honeyed depths and a delicate coppery glow along the rim, hinting at decades of choice cask maturation.
Nose
A refined, delicate bouquet of lemon zest and green apple, threaded with vanilla and toasted almond from mature oak. Subtle honeyed sweetness, barley grain, and a whisper of coastal breeze drift through, with gentle spice and a waxy polish hinting at decades in bourbon cask maturation.
Palate
Silky and refined, the palate delivers vanilla and honeyed toffee, dotted with ripe orchard fruit. Bourbon‑aged oak lends gentle body, with whispers of almond and coconut, while citrus zest adds a bright lift. Elegant, restrained, and unexpectedly persistent, finishing with a warm, refined glow.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with creamy vanilla and toffee giving way to zesty citrus and delicate white fruit. Bourbon oak adds gentle spice and almond sweetness, lingering with refined warmth before a final, softly drying echo of oak and elegant Lowland finesse.
