This sweeter side of Arran! This Single Malt makes an ideal dessert dram with complementary notes of apricots, melon and honeysuckle. The Arran Sauternes Single Malt has been given a new-look for 2020.
To achieve this rich partnership, Arran Single Malt is matured in oak casks for eight years and is then 'finished' in a selection of Sauternes wine casks. These Bordeaux sweet white wine casks are specifically selected by our Master Distiller from a talented small producer to ensure the notes from both wine and whisky make the perfect marriage.
If you're looking for something that shows off the sweeter side of Arran Single Malt, this is perfect choice for you. It pairs beautifully with a creamy toffee or fudge based pudding.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden amber with honeyed highlights, a sunlit, warm glow.
Nose
Honey sweetness and citrus form an inviting, sun-warmed nose, with hints of honeysuckle and apricot.
Palate
Richly honeyed on the palate, with a lifting zest that slides into spice and a zingy salt note. As it opens, vanilla and sultana appear, backed by toasted oak and a warm, lingering sweetness.
Finish
Sweetness lingers with honeyed depth as apricots and melon emerge, their glow guided by a delicate honeysuckle note, leaving a soft, lingering orchard-fruit impression.
