Out of stock
The cask strength version of The Arran peated Single Malt. Robust, fruity and luxurious!
This is Batch released in October 2017.
On the west coast of the Isle of Arran lies a windswept and mystical peat bog called Machrie Moor. Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones are strewn across its barren, undulating terrain. One of the stone circles is known as Fingal’s Cauldron Seat, where sits a stone with a carved hole. The legendary warrior giant Fingal is said to have tethered his favourite dog Bran to this stone.
This cask strength, peated expression of the Arran Single Malt perfectly captures the rugged beauty and lore of the landscape.
Unleash the legend that is Machrie Moor. • Peated Arran distilled each year since 2004 • Fourth release of Machrie Moor at Cask Strength (58.1%) • Peating level of 20PPM • Limited Edition of 10,500 bottles worldwide.
A memorable dram with character and complexity.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich copper-gold with bronzed depth and honey-amber highlights, a sun-warmed, peaty glow.
Nose
Citrus notes rise with a solid peat backdrop and a brisk puff of smoke that announces itself with immediacy.
Palate
Robust, Arran’s orchard fruits—apples and pears—shine on the palate, layered with toasted brioche and a touch of red berries. A subtle peat lift adds smoke and depth, with a creamy, substantial mouthfeel.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of creamy vanilla and coconut, drawn out by Bourbon cask influence; a warm, velvety fade that lingers gracefully, inviting the next sip.
