Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery glow and mahogany undertones, a burnished wine-gold sheen.
Nose
Intense peat smoke and coastal iodine rise from the glass, briny and bright. A refined Sherry influence weaves through—dark raisins, fig, and orange zest sweetness—alongside vanilla, cocoa, and toasted oak. Waxy, medicinal notes and a warming, cask-strength pulse complete the aroma, hinting at depth and an Islay signature that lingers.
Palate
Coastal peat and iodine ride a silky, oily texture across the palate. Refill sherry brings dark fruit, cocoa and a hint of orange zest, with toasted oak in support. The 55.6% strength amplifies peppery spice, leaving a long maritime smoke, brine and chocolatey finish.
Finish
Long, peated finish that lingers like a coastal bonfire. Sherry sweetness wraps the smoke in dark fruit, cocoa and orange zest, while iodine and sea minerals keep it maritime. The warmth stays through a dry, peppery aftertaste, with a final resinous oak that slowly fades into smoke.
