Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights, a warm sunset glow.
Nose
Refined coastal peat rises with subtlety, merging smoky medicinal notes, iodine and sea-salt with citrus zest and polished oak. A whisper of sherry-cask sweetness—dark treacle and dried fruit—adds depth, yielding an elegant, lingering aroma that hints at provenance and age.
Palate
Muscular peat and iodine unfold on the palate, a mouth-coating dram of Ardbeg's signature smoke tempered by lush sherry fruit. Dark chocolate, espresso and dried fig ride a warm, velvety texture, with orange zest and spice weaving through. A saline, lingering finish echoes sea-air and ash.
Finish
Extremely long, smoky finish with coastal iodine and sea-salt notes that soften into sherried sweetness. Dark chocolate and toasted almond emerge, while a wispy peat warmth lingers, threaded with oak, vanilla and pepper, leaving a warm, resinous echo.
