Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich, burnished amber with coppery highlights and a dusky mahogany edge, glowing with sunlit warmth.
Nose
Peat smoke and iodine rise, a coastal breeze of sea spray and brine. The peat is dark and resinous, with medicinal edges and a tarry note. Sherry influence brings dried red fruits, orange zest, and raisin, layered with toasted vanilla, cocoa, and a hint of spice. Warm, luxurious, and lingering, it evokes a smoky Islay sunset on the water.
Palate
Peat smoke envelops the palate with iodine and sea-salt, giving way to rich sherry sweetness—fig, raisin and dark chocolate. Oak spice and espresso emerge, with a touch of leather. A coastal brine lingers into a long, warming, smoky finish.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with coastal brine and peat that lingers on the palate. Dried fruit and dark chocolate emerge, tempered by a subtle sherry sweetness. Ashy, peppery warmth slowly fades into a resonant, tobacco‑like finish accented by warm spice and vanilla.
