Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany edges and a warm honey-gold glow.
Nose
An intense plume of peat smoke and iodine rises over a briny sea breeze, soothed by sherry‑ed sweetness. Dried fig and raisin fuse with toffee and dark chocolate, while leather, vanilla and toasted oak deepen the bouquet. Subtle tar, sea spray and spice linger, a refined Islay signature aged to perfection.
Palate
Powerful peat smoke and sea-brine envelope the palate, lifted by sherry-soaked dark fruit, fig and cocoa. A velvet, yet assured mouthfeel carries espresso notes, toasted oak and a whisper of leather. Peppery spice grows, while medicinal iodine threads through. The finish is long and smoky, with orange zest, char and a lingering, refined sweetness.
Finish
An enduring finish of Islay peat and mineral smoke, followed by dark sherried sweetness. The iodine and sea-salt linger, tempered by chocolate, dried fig, and spice, slowly fading into a warm, coastal echo.
