Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a touch of mahogany at the edge, a rich, inviting glow.
Nose
Intense peat smoke and maritime iodine lead the nose, sharpened by embered warmth. Dark leather, dried fruit and graphite unfold beneath, with a refined sherry sweetness from the oak and a delicate vanilla undercurrent, suggesting cask-strength depth and old-world luxury.
Palate
Intense, relentless peat smoke dominates the palate, a thick, creamy mouthfeel at cask strength. Iodine, leather and tar mingle with dark chocolate and espresso, lifted by subtle vanilla sweetness and dried fruit from sherry influence. The finish is long and warming, a vein of peppery spice and saline, lingering over a smoky, mineral glow.
Finish
Long, peated finish with coastal smoke and sea-salt nuance. Leather and resin give way to dark fruit and cocoa, with a delicate sherry whisper that lingers, slowly fading into warm spice and pepper. A refined, enduring glow that invites another sip.
