Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a rich mahogany core, a warm, sherried glow in the glass.
Nose
A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, with Ardbeg’s fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mingle with herbal and tropical notes—banana and pineapple—while a delicate veil of fragrant candle wax adds a suave, smoldering depth.
Palate
An extremely vibrant, hot peppery mouthfeel opens to sherbet lemon sweetness—candied apples, pears and orange—then reveals hints of carbolic soap and tar, followed by creamy toffee, aniseed and a sharpened chili pepper.
Finish
Long, mellow finish that lingers with creamy fudge and delicate antiseptic notes, softly echoing Ardbeg’s elegant, soothing signature.
