Adnams is more widely know for its beer, so this is an especially interesting bottling by TBWC. Historically the brewery has experienced its fair share of spooky activity (bringing new meaning spirit production!), this was the inspiration for the label design.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a gentle copper glow.

Nose

A spicy, malt-forward aroma with toasted oak, vanilla and overripe apples. A warm, inviting bouquet that hints at autumn spice and rich orchard sweetness.

Palate

Initially rich chocolate and coffee give way to malt, honey and oak, with subtle stewed apple and cinnamon spice weaving through the finish.

Finish

An enduring, warm finish: malt and honey drift into toasted oak, while cinnamon-spiced stewed apple lingers. Subtle chocolate and coffee weave through, fading to a cocoa-kissed, orchard-spice finale.

Adnams was founded in 1872 by brothers George and Ernest Adnams in Southwold, Suffolk, where brewing on the same site can be traced back as far as 1396. The Sole Bay Brewery remains closely tied to the town, with Adnams developing from a regional brewer into a wider drinks business known for beers such as Southwold Bitter, Broadside and Ghost Ship.
