Distilled on 22 November 1996 and bottled in 2012, this 16-year-old Aberlour was released as part of the distillery’s Single Cask Selection series. Matured in a first-fill sherry cask (#6342) for its full maturation, the whisky was bottled at a natural 58.6% ABV, showcasing the rich, sherried style for which the Speyside distillery is well known.

Aberlour
(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
