Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Opulent on the nose: dried orange zest, fig and sultana mingle with warming spices—cinnamon, clove and ginger—over toasted oak. Vanilla, toffee and dark chocolate deepen the aroma, while a gentle sherry lift adds richness. A polished, slightly spicy bouquet that signals the Double Cask maturation.
Palate
Silky on the palate with a warm, spiced lift. Toffee and dried fruit yield to orange zest, raisin, and roasted almond, threaded with cinnamon and clove from the sherry influence. Medium-full, creamy texture with subtle oak tannin. A long, velvety finish reveals cocoa, leather and lingering spice.
Finish
Long, warming finish that lingers with sherry-driven sweetness and spice. Candied orange, fig and cinnamon drift over warm oak, while a gentle clove bite persists, fading into cocoa and dried fruit hints as the warmth slowly wanes.
