Tasting Notes

Nose

All grape, honey and ripe melon, fresh barley, grassy and almost Viognier wine like notes, orange curd, heather and new leather.

Palate

Juicy grape and fresh barley with sweet toffe, honeydew melon with ginger spice, some toasted cereal and peppery oak notes, malty heather honey.

Finish

Dried apricot, melon, ginger, fresh malty barley, honeyed grape, soft yet peppery/heather sweet smoke, lemon thyme.

Aberfeldy
(aber-FELL-dee) Aberfeldy was built by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 and remains the only distillery constructed by the Dewar family. Set just outside the town of Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire, it was positioned beside the Pitilie Burn, whose water still feeds the distillery today. Its history also includes a two-year closure from 1917 during the First World War, and a major expansion in 1973 when two new stills were added to double capacity. Aberfeldy later passed into Bacardi’s ownership in 1998 as part of John Dewar & Sons.
