Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016 Edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky
Out of stock
Of the 5,000 bottles produced just 198 of these have been allocated to the UK marketplace. With on-line prices of a several thousand pounds (2016) being reported, and other dealers running auctions, we say you should buy a bottle of this instead which is 1000% cheaper but equally as superb.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery-bronze depth and mahogany edges.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma with dark fruit compote of fig, prune and cherry, folded with orange zest and raisin. Nutty almond, cocoa and toffee mingle with toasted oak, while cinnamon and clove spice linger, finished by a whisper of mocha and polished cedar.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate of dark fruit and sherry sweetness, with fig, raisin and orange zest. Cocoa, espresso and toasted almond unfold beneath a warm spine of cinnamon and clove, with subtle cherry and maple notes. Rich and rounded, it finishes long and velvety, lingering fruit, spice and a kiss of tobacco.
Finish
Long and opulent, the finish coats the palate with velvety sherry sweetness. Dried fig and plum mingle with orange zest and cocoa, while warm spice and oak linger. A refined toasted-nut echo remains, slowly fading into a lasting, graceful warmth.
