Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2013 Edition Single Malt Japanese Whisky
Out of stock
This Yamazaki Sherry cask is the best Whisky in the world according to Jim Murray in the 2015 edition of his Whisky Bible with a score of 97.5.
There were 18,000 bottles of this in 2013, I wonder how many are on the market now?

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany undertone.
Nose
Opulent sherry-dark aroma with rich raisin and fig, brightened by orange peel and marmalade. Toasted almond, dark chocolate and spice unfold over polished oak, with a satin of vanilla and an elegant, fruit-forward bouquet.
Palate
Sumptuously full-bodied and velvety, this Yamazaki Sherry Cask reveals a rich tapestry of dried-fruit sweetness—raisin, fig, date—paired with dark chocolate, treacle and orange zest. Spices of cinnamon and clove mingle with polished oak, while a warm, long finish hints at espresso, leather and walnut.
Finish
Unfolds into a long, opulent finish where dark fruit, cocoa and fig mingle with orange zest and toasted almond. Sherry sweetness lingers, tempered by spice and a whisper of oak, leaving a warm, velvety aftertaste that fades with dignified grace.
