West Midlands Distillery Siblings Unpeated English Single Malt Whisky
Out of stock
Named after the brother-and-sister founders of West Midlands Distillery, Siblings is an innovative pair of English single malts that explores how two closely related casks can develop entirely different personalities. Two matching first-fill ex-Oz Tyler bourbon casks were selected and brought to England, where they were recoupered to approximately 100 litres to intensify the interaction between the spirit and the oak. One cask remained untouched, while its sibling took a very different path.
The Un-peated expression offers the purest interpretation of the distillery's spirit, allowing the influence of first-fill bourbon maturation to take centre stage without smoke competing for attention. It serves as a clear demonstration of the sweetness, fruit and spice that define both the spirit and the carefully selected cask.
Matured in a first-fill ex-Oz Tyler bourbon cask and bottled at 51.1% ABV, this limited release produced just 110 bottles, making it one of the distillery's most exclusive bottlings to date. The exceptional maturation and naturally low outturn have created a whisky of remarkable concentration and depth.
