Waterford Micro Cuvée Lómhar is an Irish single malt whisky created as an experimental, limited Micro Cuvee release from Waterford Distillery, designed to be a warming, seasonal expression combining complexity and depth.
It was blended from 11 distinct distillates, predominantly from 10 different Single Farm Origin spirits plus a touch of Waterford’s first cuvée, Pilgrimage, to add character, and matured for about 3 years, 5 months and 27 days before bottling at 50 % ABV.
The whisky matured in a mix of first-fill American oak, premium French oak barriques, natural sweet wine casks and virgin American oak, showcasing Waterford’s terroir-driven philosophy where barley provenance influences aroma and flavour. Just 1,100 bottles were produced.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich warm amber with coppery glints and honey-gold depth, like autumn sunlight in a glass.
Nose
Malty and inviting, this nose blends fruit cake with cloves, a ribbon of orange chocolate and creme caramel. Subtle barnyard earthiness sits alongside red currants and forest undergrowth, finished with a hint of white pepper that threads through the aroma.
Palate
Spiced cinnamon apple with custard, milk chocolate and fruit compote.
Finish
A warm, gentle spice lingers, entwined with chocolate as a dry, lasting finish persists.
