Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with copper-garnet depth and ruby-red highlights, a warm mahogany glow.

Nose

Spice wafts with red berries and a sweet vanilla undertone; a warm, inviting aroma that hints at creamy depth and a whisper of oak.

Palate

Silky, creamy mouthfeel supported by hazelnuts and orchard fruit, with bursts of red currants and a lift of orange zest; a nuanced, refined palate that glides with subtle sweetness and balance.

Finish

Spicy, warming finish with a subtle tannic bite from the Burgundy casks, lingering as a refined, wine-kissed dryness.

Tullibardine
(tully-BAR-din) Tullibardine was founded in 1949 by distillery designer William Delmé-Evans in Blackford, on a site with a much longer brewing history that stretches back to 1488, when King James IV is recorded as having bought beer there. It was the first distillery built in Scotland since 1900, later passed through the hands of Brodie Hepburn and Invergordon, and then fell silent between 1993 and 2003 before returning to production under new ownership.
