Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich, warm amber with mahogany-ruby depths and coppery highlights, gleaming with burnished chestnut edges in the glass.
Nose
Opulent, wintry bouquet of dark fruit—prune, fig, raisin—sweetened with orange zest and toffee. Rich sherry cask influence folds in toasted oak, cocoa nibs, and vanilla, while cinnamon and clove mingle with espresso-like depth. A luxurious, velvety aroma that hints at elegance and age.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this sherried Macallan coats the palate with dark fruits—fig, raisin, plum—interwoven with orange zest and toffee. Rich spice—cinnamon and clove—meets polished oak, cacao and a whisper of leather. The 54% ABV lends a creamy warmth, carrying through to a long, honeyed finish punctuated by subtle spice and rancio notes.
Finish
Long, opulent and warming, the finish coats the palate with cocoa-dusted fig and orange peel, buoyed by sherried sweetness. Spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—twist through polished oak, then fade to coffee and leather, leaving a refined, honeyed afterglow.
