The Macallan The Speymalt Collection 1st Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Out of stock
Gordon & MacPhail have been purveyors of fine goods across three centuries and, over many years, have built up and nurtured special relationships with local producers. Among these are several local whisky distilleries in the Speyside region from whom they purchase new-make spirit to be matured in their own oak casks.
However, there is only one distillery for which they reserve the title ‘Speymalt from Macallan Distillery’.
Established in 1824 and situated overlooking the fishing beats on the River Spey, the Macallan Distillery produces a wonderfully complex spirit, which they then carefully mature in quality oak casks ordered specifically for the ‘Speymalt from Macallan Distillery’ range.
Each bottling carries the vintage of distillation and the year of bottling, capturing an exceptionally mature single malt whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with warming copper accents and a tawny, mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent notes of dark fruit—raisins, fig and plum—meld with orange peel and a drizzle of toffee. Vanilla and almond sweetness rest on polished oak, while cocoa and warm spice (cinnamon, nutmeg) lift the aroma. A refined Macallan perfume—mellow, inviting, and distinctly oaken, with a gentle, lingering spice.
Palate
Silky and refined on the palate, this Speymalt unfurls sherry-kissed depth with dried plum, fig and sultana, braided with rich toffee and dark chocolate. Orange zest echoes through cinnamon and nutmeg atop polished oak, yielding subtle spice and elegant structure. The finish is long, with tobacco, espresso and leather nuances lingering gracefully.
Finish
Long, elegant and quietly warming, the finish unfurls with warm oak and soft spice. Dried fruit and citrus linger, then cocoa and vanilla, tapering to a refined oak echo.
